Innovative, Patented Slurry Blast Technology
Proceco Slurry Blast is a patented technology
that uses a fine metallic abrasive combined with a water-based
alkaline cleaner to mechanically remove oxides, scale, carbon
deposits, oils and grease from a metal surface. The slurry
blast technology can process wet, oily and greasy parts, making
it an ideal cleaning technology for remanufacturing components.
The heart of the cleaning process is the
rotary slurry blast head that accelerates and discharges the
abrasive slurry at high velocity in a controlled pattern.
The blast heads are equipped with a patented slurry projection
nozzle that directs the slurry onto the rotary wheel.

Abrasive slurry is propelled against
the part surface by a motor-driven, centrifugal-bladed
wheel for a powerful and effective blast cleaning.

Integrated Slurry Blast Process Features
- Multiple processes integrated in one
system
- Slurry consisting of mild, water-based
alkaline cleaner and abrasive media
- High-intensity/direct-drive centrifugal
blast wheel provides for shorter cycle times
- Single to multi-blast- wheel configurations
- Automatic PLC-controlled process
- Closed-loop operation. Spent slurry is
reclaimed; media and water are separated and filtered for
reuse.
- Oils are removed, prolonging solution
life
- Armored construction made of heavy steel
plates and wear-resistant materials
- Safety guarding and features for safe
operation
- Custom-designed system to meet your specs
System Advantages
- Eliminates the need for pre- and post-cleaning
processes
- Very clean and smooth finished surface
ready for coating, painting, or remanufacturing operations
- Can process wet, oily, and greasy parts
- No dust
- Combined multiple processes provide for
a smaller footprint
- Save man power
Typical Applications
- Surface cleaning and stripping prior
rebuilding of automotive components such as:
- Engines blocks and heads
- Transmission components
- Starter motors
- Alternators
- Brakes components
- Scale and rust removal
- Surface preparation of stamping prior to painting or bonding
- Die casting deflashing
