During the wash cycle, workpieces are sprayed with recirculated, hot aqueous solution containing a low detergent concentration (between 2% and 5%) to effectively remove oil, grease, and road dirt prior to rebuilding processes.

Automatic Rail-Fed Truck / Bogie Washer

Rail-Fed Bogie washing plants are aqueous degreasing systems specifically designed to automatically wash and rinse transit car and locomotive bogies/trucks (without traction motors) moving on their own wheels, in various states of disassembly.

These cleaning systems use PROCECO's exclusive spray manifold design, which surrounds the truck/bogie on all four sides and travels back and forth over the entire length of the workpiece to ensure effective cleaning of all surfaces. Depending on the degree of contamination of parts, the system can clean up to eight trucks/bogies per eight -hour shift. Using an optional parts trolley, PROCECO Bogie washers can also clean truck/bogie frames without wheels, as well as various other components. Other options are available for enhanced performance and increased production.



TYPHOON®-HD Heavy-Duty Turntable Parts Washer

PROCECO TYPHOON®-HD turntable spray cabinet washers are designed to clean large parts placed directly on a swing-out turntable or batches of small parts loaded in baskets. This heavy-duty industrial parts washer combines pressure, heat, and an aqueous cleaning solution to clean and degrease parts to your specification within minutes – ideal for cleaning in manufacturing, maintenance, and remanufacturing applications. In addition to parts cleaning, this system can also be engineered for sprayed surface-treat processes such as phosphating and boron nitride coating.

TYPHOON®-HD's design features a large-volume solution tank, which reduces the likelihood of foaming by reducing agitation through pumping action, helps to settle contamination, and also reduces tank clean-out frequency. Many other design features, such as low-maintenance pumps, digital temperature controllers, and cycle timers are standard on all PROCECO turntable parts washers. These cabinet parts washers can also be easily customized by choosing from over 40 available pre-engineered options.



TYPHOON® MB-H Belt Conveyor Parts Washer

The PROCECO TYPHOON® MB-H is a heavy-duty power spray type belt parts washer designed for automatic processing and cleaning of heavily contaminated and/or heavy components. Available at capacities of up to 300 pounds per square foot (1465 kg/m2), the MB-H parts washer is also available in an optional multi-stage configuration to accommodate required processes such as recirculated wash, recirculated rinse, freshwater rinse, and drying blow-off.



LTEW Locomotive Truck and Engine Washers

PROCECO's LTEW Locomotive Truck and Engine Washers are engineered to wash and rinse diesel engine blocks mounted into a rotary fixture; oil pans deposited on the cabinet platform, or two- and three-axle locomotive truck/bogie frames (without traction motors). The systems have a load capacity of up to 60,000 lbs.

These heavy-duty parts cleaning systems are top loading. The workpiece is loaded by overhead crane (supplied by customer) onto the support platform in the spray cabinet. During the cleaning cycle, a spray nozzle frame surrounding the workpiece on all four sides travels back and forth over the entire length of the part to effectively clean all surfaces. Engine blocks are rotated by the fixture while the other components remain stationary during the process. A PLC controls washer functions. A wide range of options such as sludge conveyor are available to enhance performance and increase production.

WSW Rail-fed Wheel Set Washer

The PROCECO rail-fed wheel set washer effectively removes grease and road dirt from locomotive or car wheel sets. Wheel set washers are pit-mounted in line with workshop floor-level tracks for a pass-through operation, allowing processing up to four wheel sets per hour.

Wheel sets are loaded onto the incoming track and roll by themselves against a stop in front of the washer for the operator to release and push them into the cabinet. During the cleaning process, the washer rotates the wheel set to expose all surfaces to the multiple cleaning jets. Once the cleaning cycle is completed, wash cabinet doors open automatically and the cleaned wheel set is ejected onto the outbound track.
